What's your role?
I am a UI/UX software developer, but I don't restrict myself to a single title. I enjoy wearing many hats; bucket hats, baseball caps, cowboy hats, those fun conical hats from the rice paddies….
I'm kidding, of course. However, I do have fun in the many roles needed for the creation of an awesome project, meaning I balance everything from ideation, to design, to software development, to content creation.
What is the secret to realizing a successful software project?
From personal experience, the most successful projects that I've done are always the ones where I, or my client, are super passionate.
Challenging projects, especially if things aren't going your way, can be a little draining especially if you've lost the reason why you wanted to start in the first place. But a project that brings you excitement, and remembering the "Why?" can be so invigorating and motivating that it really fuels you to the end.
Also, staying hydrated!
What emerging technology or industry are you most interested in?
I'm most interested in the tattoo industry, as a VERY amateur tattoo artist (don't ask me to tattoo you). Tattoos are slowly becoming less taboo in society, and I'm really excited to see what changes that will bring!
