What's your role?

I'm our Product Owner, aka Head of Product in start-up land. My foremost priority and focus is bringing the customer into our organization, into our efforts, so that our priorities are focused around them, the users. I own and communicate our product vision, prioritize and optimize feature delivery, and maintain our product roadmap.

How did you get involved with #DigitalAF?

I connected with the #DigitalAF team by way of my work at Velocity and Google working with really small teams to bring big ideas, change, and new products to market!

What is the contribution you have made that you are most proud of?

Aligning our efforts to creating business and organizational value. We've done a great job ensuring strategic value to a large, multi-matrixed organization while creating end user value for Canada's Armed Forces.

If you could redo something, what would it be?

Work closely with end users to define adoption strategies with them. We are able to win the hearts and minds of our users once we get them onto the platform, but the fact is, improved software tooling has been promised by the Government for years, but more often that not, fails to deliver.

What is your vision for the future?

There is a tremendous opportunity available to the RCAF - it is up to the leadership within the organization to truly capitalize on driving technological change

The #DigitalAF team's products have been a catalyst for thinking about what software capabilities are needed, what the opportunity is for driving a digital transformation, and how the organization can continue to be a globally respected and competitive Air Force.

My future vision for #DigitalAF is a continued investment in delivering world-class software development capabilities that enables RCAF members to do their best work.
