What's your role?

I'm a returning co-op student from the University of Waterloo working as a Full Stack Developer for the fall term. My responsibilities include fixing bugs, maintenance and keeping up to date with industry best practices, as well as implementing new features on the projects we work on!

What is the secret to realizing a successful software project?

Adaptability. While having a solid plan is crucial to ensure a smooth development process, it's rare to have everything go exactly as written. Unexpected roadblocks or illnesses are sure to throw a wrench in even the most meticulously crafted plans, and if that happens, the team will have to adapt around those obstacles to find success.

What's your word of the day?

"Do or do not, there is no try." - Yoda

I believe in giving your all in anything you set your mind to, and seeing things through to the end once you commit to them. There is a big difference in conviction when saying that you'll "try to do something" as opposed to saying that you'll "do something," and I think it shows in both the process and results of the work.
