What's your role?

In my role as a Full-Stack Developer, I spearhead the design, development, and upkeep of major features for the RCAF's first modern SaaS product. I was also responsible for directly collaborating with key stakeholders to solve complex problem spaces and action deliverable steps to produce substantial value meeting success criteria. While our team at Harled grew, I've directly influenced and enhanced the team's culture by encouraging open communication, advocating pair programming, and nurturing critical thinking.

What is the secret to realizing a successful software project?

Having a strong understanding of the project! Now what does this exactly mean? As a team, everyone should strive to have a deep understanding of the project's technical and business requirements, everyone's role in the project, and why we're working on this project. Enabling each member on the team to make informed decisions, anticipate potential challenges, and design effective solutions, leading to higher quality code, efficient development, and the ability to adapt to changing situations. Understanding is always the first step (and often the hardest) on the path to a successful software project.

What emerging technology or industry are you most interested in?

Artificial Intelligence without a doubt. Machine Learning in particular is one of the areas of AI that has captivated my interest. Much of the potential of this technology is owed to its versatility and use in everyday life, such as on social media feeds, medical diagnosis, stock market trading, and the list goes on. The potential of machine learning lies in its capacity to revolutionize industries, improve efficiency, solve complex problems, and create new opportunities for innovation and growth.

Which quote or motto describes your work ethic?

"Talent is something you make bloom. Instinct is something you polish"

Talent should be treated like a plant, when nurtured in the proper conditions, it will bloom and enable you to reach your full potential. While instinct demands effort and time; once polished, empowers you to reach greater heights.
