What's your role?
I am a full-stack developer at Harled, so I get to work on a large variety of things. With how flexible and open-minded the team here is, I am sure I will get to work on things that I enjoy while also challenging myself and learning many new things.
What is the secret to realizing a successful software project?
Planning! One of the hardest things I come up against when working on a software project is not knowing how to get past some challenge or solving one problem which needs to be refactored another way in the future. To get rid of all this disorganization, planning is the key. Planning everyone's roles and responsibilities, the direction and mission of the project and what wants to be accomplished will help create a successful project.
What emerging technology or industry are you most interested in?
AI/ML/NLP is technology that really intrigues me due to the potential that it holds from simple chatbots to fully automated robots. The idea that we can have computers acting so similarly to humans and we can have them carry out such incredible feats is truly revolutionary. The implications that even small parts of ML can contribute to everyday things will change the world!
What's your word of the day?
Uncomfortable! I believe that if you are not putting yourself in learning situations where you are uncomfortable, failing and being challenged, then you are not growing as much as you could be!
